Situated at the heart of beautiful Dumfries and Galloway and just 6 miles fro Dumfries town centre, you'll be well placed to visit numerous attractions and activities right on your doorstep.

Nearly 300 acres of woodlands, paddocks and ponds attract an abundance of wildlife, including deer, fox, badgers, otters, red squirrels and a huge variety of bird life.

Our comfortable facilities offer; hot water, electric hook ups, shower block with individual cubicles, communal kitchen, picnic area, laundry facilities, chemical toilet disposal, play park, bike storage, dog exercise area and an on-site warden.

Our Apex Pods are perfect for “Scottish” camping allowing you the freedom of camping without the hassle, whatever the weather. The Apex Pods are situated down from our Big Wood overlooking the Mill Pond. Our visitors can fish for free.

The latest addition to Barnsoul is our Little Lodges. It's a fantastic newly designed camping pod, with more windows, increased headroom and a separate bunk area for the kids. The Little Lodge is perfect for Barnsoul, maximising our glorious views and allowing you the freedom of camping without the hassle, whatever the weather.

Our touring field is the first area you come to when you enter the park nestled between Pete's Wood and Crow Wood with farmland spreading out as far as the eye can see and we have been working on our touring pitches this year giving each pitch more space to easily accommodate an awning. Our field is set out in a circle with a large free area in the middle. We have 6 hard standing pitches for larger/heavier vans. Each pitch is served with electricity if required.

Our tent field sits in an elevated position looking onto the mill pond with the Big Wood at the back and there are a number of hook-up points if required.

Both our touring field and tent pitches are easy to get to and near to our amenity block.

Our on site Warden is on hand to welcome you and help you book in and get parked up.

We have also upgraded our amenity building and our showers are all free with plenty of hot water. We have an upgraded on-site kitchen, which has state of the art hobs, microwaves and kettles which can be used by all our visitors. When the weather allows visitors are welcome to use our picnic area at the side of the kitchen to enjoy their meals or even just get together and chat.
