Snailsspace at the Sidings
A warm welcome awaits at Snailsspace, a most unusual Campsite for Motor-homers and Caravanners.
Our site is level hard standing with good access - no mud or grass to negotiate.
As part of ‘The Sidings’, the well-equipped site sits at the start of the lovely Lincolnshire Wolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
‘The Sidings’ and its small site is located within the Old Station Yard amongst a charming collection of holiday carriages and sits beside the LWR steam Railway Station, which runs for special events and occasional days only.
The site sits between the traditional seaside town of Cleethorpes and the pretty market town of Louth, (voted Britain’s favourite small market town, BBC survey 2012.)
There is a pub serving food a level mile each way, Donna Nook seal sanctuary, WW2 airbases, canal walks and cycle paths, windmills, beaches and museums pepper the area, and with a steam railway on the doorstep, there is something of interest and fun for everyone.
Besides its 5-pitch campsite with use of electricity, toilet, shower etc ‘The Sidings’ has an original railway carriage, named ‘Rhubarb and Custard’ - a huge 1st class sleeper carriage. Built in 1951 it has recently been converted by the site owners, and fellow Motor-homers, Wayne and Jenny for their personal use. There is also a campers' patio provided, to watch activity on the Steam Railway next door.
