Hawes Villa Campervan Site is situated within the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB). It borders Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve and is approximately 1 mile from Leighton Moss RSPB Centre.
Hawes Villa provides a tranquil retreat situated in beautiful countryside. It is a haven for nature lovers and birdwatchers. For those who love the outdoors, walking, cycling and rock climbing are ‘on the doorstep’. The site is only half-an-hour’s drive from both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Hawes Villa is a working farm with a herd of rare breed pigs, free-range poultry and horses & ponies. Produce is for sale direct from the farmhouse.
The site is surrounded by reed beds and willow trees and is adjacent to Haweswater, the largest natural lake in Lancashire. The site is level and all pitches are hard-standing. All services and surfaces are accessible for wheelchair users.
The entrance to Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve and nearest footpath is less than 100 metres from the site entrance. This path, which has been upgraded for wheelchair use, leads to a boardwalk overlooking Haweswater lake, shown below. Haweswater Wheelchair access to Haweswater.

Silverdale village 1.5 miles from the site is a vibrant village with a good
range of amenities including a Co-operative store, post office, newsagents, butchers, pharmacy, library, village hall, public house, cycle hire, taxi service, fish and chip van Friday evenings, Indian Restaurant, fish mongers van Wednesday mornings, children’s playground.

• Turn left out of Hawes Villa and walk 80 metres to access an extensive network of footpaths.
• Silverdale Cycle Hire cycling is very popular in the area due to the high number of ‘quiet lanes’ in the locality.

Directions to the site: Leave the M6 at Junction 35 (Carnforth). Turn right at the roundabout at the end of the slip road onto the A6 towards Milnthorpe and Kendal. After approximately 2 miles turn left (5th left-hand turn) onto Nineteen Acre Lane and signposted Silverdale and Yealand Redmayne. At the T junction, turn right (Silverdale). After 1.5 miles turn right at the T junction past Silverdale Railway station on your right. After 0.5 miles turn right onto Moss Lane. Drive 0.5 miles down Moss Lane. Hawes Villa is on the left. Look for farm buildings.
