Family Attractions
Apart from the wonderful safe beaches that surround the entire Pembrokeshire Coast, there are many further attractions which make the county a perfect holiday destination for all. You will find Redlands Caravan Park an ideal central point from which to start. Whether you are looking for fun and excitement, relaxation and leisure, or merely a break away from it all, Pembrokeshire has it to offer.
You will find Pembrokeshire to have a very family orientated atmosphere, with many family deals on entrance fees and ticket prices. A 'not-to-miss' feature has to be the 'as seen on TV' Oakwood Leisure Park. It boasts one of the largest wooden rollercoasters in the world, and has the reputation of introducing at least one major new ride every year. It is set in a beautiful woodland and as such has scenic walks along with a boating lake - fun, excitement, leisure, and relaxation - Oakwood has it all!!
There are very many attractions to Pembrokeshire - too many to mention all here, but another excellent day out is at Heatherton Sports and Leisure Club. Heatherton promotes health and sport - producing an opportunity for families to experience excitement in the form of quad racing, archery and falconry. The centre also has a nine hole golf course and driving range. Heatherton really has something for all the family.
There are a wide variety of golf courses throughout the County - all within easy reach from Redlands Caravan Park. Whether you want a challenging Links Course, a picturesque parkland, or simply a pitch and putt, we have it all. Might I recommend Tenby Golf Course, having recently held the Welsh Amateur Championships, it is indeed a superb challenge and in excellent condition. If you are looking for a more leisurely round then Haverfordwest is ideal. It is a parkland course of around 6200yds, situated mainly on level ground. It's par of 70, however, still dictates some tough situations. Finally one of the most underrated courses in Pembrokeshire is St. Davids. It is a nine hole links course with often the best greens around. There is no clubhouse here so beware, but a small hotel/bar 200yds walk away will be pleased to accommodate. This course offers some of the most breathtaking views you are likely to experience - ever.
The friendly atmosphere you will find will allow you to enjoy your holiday more than you could imagine. Just down the road from Redlands Caravan Park is the delightful village of Little Haven. The village has a very safe beach, a village cafe/post office, and pubs. Everyone is catered for.
Redlands Caravan Park is the perfect place to see the county and experience what it has to offer.
