PortBan Caravan Park
Situated on the beautiful and secluded coastal road (B8024) between Tarbert and Lochgilphead, Port Ban boasts perhaps the most spectacular setting on the West Coast. It sits on the West Coast of the Knapdale/Kintyre peninsula, an area largely bypassed by the bulk of tourists who follow the main route north to Oban. Unique for Caravan Parks the vans are widely spaced, each offering a panoramic view of the Islands of Jura & Islay.
This, together with the unspoilt, rugged countryside steeped in history & culture, go together to create an ambience which attracts many types of people. Families who value the luxury of a safe and exciting environment where children can be let loose to explore the countryside, make use of amusements and play with their new playmates predominate in holiday time.
There are also the adventurous types who take advantage of the many activities offered in the natural environment. But if you simply want to sit back, relax and add a few years onto your innings away from the strains of everyday life then look no further.
This is one of the last undiscovered corners of Scotland; indeed the west at it's best. Port Ban has a history of satisfied customers, no matter what their reasons for coming, witnessed by the high percentage who return year after year to enjoy the unique atmosphere and scenery, many of whom end up buying Caravans on the site. Why not come, see for yourself
The park, as well as being situated in an area of intense beauty and cultural interest, also aims to provide facilities and on-site activities to suit both young and old, active and non-active, designed at giving guests the option of spending their entire holiday without leaving the park.
Wonderful panoramic views of the islands of Islay and Jura are enjoyed from every caravan.
Port Ban is a peaceful haven for those who want to get away from it all. The sheer beauty of the area and the rich diversity of wildflowers and wildlife never ceases to amaze both our new and regular visitors alike. The park has half a mile of completely unspoilt coastline with quiet sandy beaches. Safe bathing is within easy walking distance.
The park has a lovely tranquil atmosphere and parents can relax comfortably whilst the children enjoy the freedom and space which is Port Ban.
