Henstent Park
Henstent Park is a small, peaceful, family run site, which occupies a spectacular elevated position in the Tanat Valley on the fringe of the Berwyn mountain range, which provides a stunning backdrop and superb views. Located in Llangynog Powys. To the North of Mid Wales, just over the Shropshire England border and on the outer edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
There is fishing on the river Tanat, which forms one boundary of the Park, as well as bird watching and stargazing. Locally there are good walks and climbing to suit all levels of fitness and, for the more active, mountain-biking opportunities.
The friendly village of Llangynog (Llan-gun-og) is only five minutes walk and has two excellent inns, both serving good quality, value-for-money meals.
Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead. A riverside dog walk is provided, where they may run free. Sorry, no dogs allowed inside our separate tent campsite.
The Park is situated on the B4391, 18 miles west of Oswestry, on the Llanfyllin to Bala road. It is easily accessible from Birmingham, Coventry, Manchester, the Potteries and Liverpool. Map Ref 125:060260
