We offer cosy cabins and secluded camping / motorhome sites nestled amongst tall shady trees and hedges. We provide an excellent base for exploring the top of Northland including ..

Accommodation & Facilities

We are dog friendly (bookings essential), and as members of the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association we offer discounts to NZMCA members.

You can walk to shops, restaurant, takeaways and bar. Close to petrol, garage and eftpos.

Camp / Campervan Sites
Sites are large and spaced on different levels with hedges and trees to give visitors more private shaded areas. Most sites have power, water and some have individual dump stations. Good hard stands for heavier vehicles all year round.

Tourist Flat
Free standing cabin with verandah. Fully equipped kitchen, ensuite and TV, one double and four single beds (2 are in a loft most suited to children) - all beds have pillows and mattress protectors, (linen hire available).

Tourist Cabin
Free standing cabin with verandah. Fully equipped kitchen, one double and two single beds with pillows and mattress protectors, (linen hire available). Use adjacent shower and toilet facilities

Standard Cabins
Have one double bed and 3-4 singles with pillows and mattress protectors (linen hire available). Include kitchenette with cutlery, crockery, kettle, toaster, and fridge. Use communal showers and toilets.

Fishing

Houhora boasts some of the best fishing in the country. Houhora Harbour is unique because it is contains a fast flowing deep water channel which brings sizeable snapper, john dory, kingfish, kahawai, trevally and baitfish right to the wharf providing brilliant safe fishing all year round. Many excellent rock and beach fishing locations on both the East and West Coasts. Easy access for trailer boats, Dive for crayfish or scallops; enjoy great sport and big game fishing. The camp has fish cleaning facilities, freezers, boat cleaning areas, and we hire basic fishing kits.

We are perfectly located for the Snapper Classic on 90 Mile Beach, and the Houhora One Base fishing competitions.
