Ballywhiskin Caravan and Camping Park

Roy and Hilda Butler invite you to their holiday park situated on the picturesque North East Coast of Co. Down, overlooking the sea. An ideal location for a relaxing break convenient for walking, swimming, horse riding and many other attractions. Pets welcome.

We cater for motor homes, touring caravans, trailer tents and campers.

Children will particularly enjoy the play park, the playing field, our small animal farm or rock pooling on the beach.

We are located approx. 2 miles south of Millisle on the A2.

Conveniently located for visiting local attractions such as Exploris Aquarium at Portaferry, Mount Stewart National Trust property, Ulster Folk and Transport Museum in Cultra or the Somme Heritage Centre in Newtownards and within easy driving distance of Bangor and Newtownards, with their associated shopping and leisure centres.

There are a number of Golf courses within a few minutes drive of the park, both north towards Donaghadee and south towards Cloughey.

Touring Facilities:

The park has facilities for 17 tourers, all with hard standing and electric.

A water and drainage point is situated at one end of the touring area, close to the toilet and shower facilities, together with a chemical disposal point. Tokens for the showers are available from the site warden.

There is a grassed area for the use of campers.

On Site Facilities:

There is a small laundry on site (washing machines, dryer and sink) tokens for use in the machines are available from site warden.

A small on-site shop (for the bare essentials), this operates in the high season only.

Hot Food Bar (available evenings in high season only)

Children's play park for the under 12's, with climbing frame, slide, and adventure bridge, with a safe sand base.

Our special attraction is the small animal farm on site with a range of rare breed chickens, ducks, geese and goats.

Directions

From Belfast:

Follow signs towards Dundonald and then Newtownards or take the A2 to Bangor

From Bangor:

Follow the Ring Road towards Donaghadee. Carry on along the A2 towards Ballywalter past the village of Millisle. The park is approx. 2 miles beyond Millisle towards Ballywalter, it is located on the right hand side and is sign-posted.

From Newtownards:

Take the B172 east to Millisle. Turn right on to the A2 towards Ballywalter, the park is approx. 2 miles beyond Millisle towards Ballywalter, it is located on the right hand side and is sign-posted.
