Trewiston Farm Campsite
Trewiston Campsite is a traditional, friendly, family campsite situated one mile inland from Polzeath Beach. The campsite has generous grass pitches, sheltered by Cornish hedges or shrubs - many have hook-ups. There are three shower blocks (Ladies, Males and Unisex) with free showers and a laundry room with washing machines and tumble driers. Excellent WiFi is also available. Local shops are within walking distance of the campsite and include: a bakers, butchers and Spar shop. A mobile fish and chip van visits the campsite on a Friday evening and a mobile wood-fired pizza service is available on Sunday evenings.
Places of interest within easy reach of the campsite include: Daymer Bay, Rock, Padstow and Port Isaac. There is a regular ferry between Rock and Padstow. Popular activities in the area include: swimming, surfing, walking, kayaking and golf. Rock has its own sailing club and St Enodoc Golf Club, which is also in Rock, has two links golf courses.
From Trewiston Campsite there is footpath which takes visitors directly on to the North Cornwall Coast Path. From there hikers have stunning views of the rugged coastline and many opportunities to view sealife and birds. A favourite hike is to Pentire Point and The Rumps, which are part of a National Trust owned headland located at the north eastern tip of the mouth to the Camel Estuary. Both sites are within half a mile of one another and connected by the South West Coast Path.
Numerous restaurants and pubs are in north Cornwall. The Pityme Inn is a short walk from the campsite and the Waterfront Restaurant and Pub at Polzeath is a short drive or a 25 min walk on the footpath. Other well known restaurants include Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant and Paul Ainsworth's Number 6, both of which are in Padstow.
In addition to the pitches on the campsite there are sites available for new static caravans. Two demonstrator static caravans are available for viewing which can be arranged by contacting Trewiston by email or phone.
