Eskdale Campsite
Eskdale Campsite offers a traditional Lakeland camping barn, 10 camping pods and 100 pitches suitable for campervans and tents. Set in eight acres of flat, well-maintained grassland backed by tall trees, fell views and a tranquil stream snaking past.
Upon arrival, you instantly realise Eskdale's facilities have been created with hassle-free camping in mind. Pitch sizes are generous, facilities well-maintained, and the fully-stocked shop is a life saver when you forget your toothbrush!
Nestled in the beautiful Eskdale valley, on the western side of the Lake District National Park, walkers have direct access to some stunning walks, including England's highest peak, Scafell Pike. Cyclists can enjoy the Eskdale Cycle Trail which takes you to the coastal village of Ravenglass, or, for the more hard core, why not tackle the Hardknott and Wrynose mountain passes ... the steepest in the country?
For those that just want to chill, you can take in the spectacular scenery from the La' Ratty Steam Train followed by superb beer and food from any of the 3 Lakeland pubs on the campsite's doorstep.
The camping pods at Eskdale Campsite, meanwhile, are perfect for a romantic escape for two, a family glamping weekend, or an outdoor adventure with friends. After a day spent exploring, the camping pods invite you to kick back and relax, whilst guaranteeing a cosy nights sleep, whatever the weather.
Made from locally sourced timber, and insulated with sheep’s wool, the camping pods blend sympathetically with the Lakeland backdrop, and offer the opportunity for comfortable Lake District glamping with your friends and family, even during the winter months.
