Campsite with electric hookups, toilets, showers, washing up area with washing machine. Grassy, level site in the heart of the Normandy countryside. Ideal site for stop overs or for storing your caravan to pick up when required and travel around France.
We also have C & B, camping with breakfast. Close to the town of St Sever where you will find bakers, a cash machine, bars and supermarket. We are 30 minutes from the sea at Granville where there are beautiful sandy beaches.
There are many restaurants here and many fish restaurants along the side of the port. You can also get a boat from the port to Jersey. There is also a boat to the Chausay islands, which is now a nature reserve and has some lovely beaches. One hour from the D Day Beaches and the Bayeux Tapistry.
There is an eighteen hole golf course 15 minutes away, with a lake where you can do water sports. Close by is the highest bungy jump with a zip wire and a luge. We are approximately 2 hrs from Paris, ideal for a day trip.
Ideal site for anyone looking for a place to stay when looking for property in this area. Bed and breakfast and a gite also available. There is also a caravan available for rent. Dogs are welcome on our site. The market town of Vire is 15 minutes away with many bars and restaurants, also there is ten pin bowling.
Villedieu-le-Poeles is a town famous for its copper and bell foundry. Here copper pans have been manufactured for many years. The bell foundry has produced bells for well known cathedrals and the infamous Titanic.
There are also farms where you can taste the local cider and Calvados, a brandy. Close to the campsite is the forest of St Sever where there are endless paths to explore around and through the forest.
We are one hour from the nearest port of Caen, 2 hours from Cherbourg. The nearest airport is Dinard. Car hire is also available from there. We are approximately 4 hours from Calais, where you can travel by ferry or the channel tunnel.
